Are you looking for things to romanticize your life? Having the right things around you when you make a choice to romanticize your life is so important. When people think of romanticizing their lives, they often think of a certain aesthetic which definitely isn’t true at all. In my opinion, romanticizing your life looks different to everybody as everybody’s lives are different and have different tastes.
For example, for me I love looking and feeling like I have just stepped out of a Jane Austen novel. But maybe you’re not into Jane Austen. Maybe you want to feel like you’ve stepped out of Rivendell, or Little Women, or Disney… the possibilities really are endless!
It’s important to fit romanticizing your life into your own way of life rather than trying to fit the mould of what you think it should like. It doesn’t have to be teacups, dresses, flowers, and painting if those aren’t the things that you are in to!
But for this reason, it could get confusing on how to romanticize your life and what you need to romanticize your life, so I’m here to give you some tips and ideas on what things can help you romanticize your life! (And they are probably things that you already own!)
So here is a list of things to help you romanticize your life.

A Changed Mindset
I know, I know. It sounds so cliche but it’s true! You need to go into romanticising your life with an open heart and a changed mindset. I’m definitely someone who can do things half heartedly, but for me, romanticising my life was something that I needed to throw everything I’ve got at it as it did require me to change my outlook on life – but now I am never going back!
When I got serious about romanticizing my life, everything changed. I felt calmer, like I was walking around in my own little dream world like I used to when I was younger. I also gained confidence in my self to wear what I actually want to wear as I realised that people are too busy with their own stuff to even worry about you for more than five minutes!
Your Favourite Mug
If there is one thing I’ve learnt it’s to never underestimate the power of your favourite mug. It can be your favourite mug for a number of different reasons; the way it looks, how it holds the perfect amount of tea, maybe it has a memory attached to it… Whatever your favourite mug is, start drinking from it every day. I’m currently drinking my tea from a teacup that was previously used as a prop and never used because I thought it was ‘too pretty’… But now it brings me so much joy whenever I drink out of it!

Time
I cannot stress enough how much giving yourself time with yourself is important. You can do whatever you want with this time; start a new hobby, start a new book, buy yourself some flowers and have a date with yourself. Anything! I’ve started setting up my breakfasts at the table with flowers and a candle and it’s honestly the loveliest thing to do. Just take some time to bring yourself joy!
Your Favourite Outfit/Clothes
In 2021, we’re ditching the term ‘overdressed’. Before the pandemic, I used to really worry about what people would think of my outfit and would really worry about being over dressed for the occasion.
But now I’ve realised that life is too short to not wear the clothes that I really want to wear and love. Life is too short to care about what strangers think of what I’m wearing. I’ve started dressing the way that I want to. It’s fun to play a little dress up every day and I feel so much better when I love what I’m wearing! Of course, there’s day when I just want to wear my pyjamas, but when I’m getting dressed, I really get dressed.

Gratitude
I’ve always really liked the idea of keeping a gratitude journal, but I’ve never done well with diaries or writing things down. I always end up forgetting, And then I thought why do I even need to write it down in the first place?
I now practise gratitude when I’m brushing my teeth every morning and every night. It’s really nice to think about what I’m grateful for every day!
Candles
I absolutely love burning candles during the day, it really helps set the mood and tone for the day.
(Below I am talking about a product that was sent to me for PR purposes)
At the moment I’m really loving my set from This Cloudy Day, they smell absolutely divine and I just adore how cute they look!
This month I’m working with This Cloudy Day . If you use the code BEE10 you will get a lovely discount.

And those are just a few ways that I’ve implemented romanticising my life. I’m always experimenting and trying out new things, and there isn’t a ‘one size fits all’, you have to do what YOU love in order for it to be valuable!
Anything else you would add to this list of things to romanticize your life?
