Happy July and Hello to some Sustainable Home BrandsI’ve included some sustainable home brands in this newsletter I hope you don’t mind. Wow, I can’t believe we’re into the second half of 2020 already. I guess time flies when there’s a global pandemic, huh? July is looking to be a much more positive month than what June was, as it seems like I’m going to be moving next week! Excited would be an understatement, although I’m not excited to go through all of the props I’ve accumulated over the years. Yeah, I don’t even want to think about how many there are up in the attic. It’s been such a long process that I can’t believe it’s almost over. I don’t think it’s sunk in just yet! I haven’t been focussing a lot on fashion this week, so this week’s hot list will be dedicated to furnishings, sustainable home brands and decor instead of fashion. But don’t worry, there will still be books! Bee x P.S. July means another Create with Bee and this month it’s flower portraits. Join us here its absolutely free.
What I’ve Been up to This WeekI’ve been doing a lot of planning of content this week. I want to get the rest of my July content taken before I move out so I’m not trying to take photos and settle into a house at the same time. I don’t think my brain could take that! I tend to post around 3 times a week, so I’ll need to take around 12 photos as well as finish off packing. Man, this is going to be a busy couple of weeks for me isn’t it? Here are some articles I wrote this week. WHY BILL BENSLEY IS BETTER THAN WALT DISNEY CORONA -HOW WILL INFLUENCE CHANGE? FLOWER PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY – A GUIDE How was your week? Bee x
An Editing Tip from BeeSo, this tip maybe a little too specific for some people but is worth noting if your skin has pink/red undertones! So my mum has a pink wall that I sometimes shoot against to get a pink backdrop. The only issue is that in editing and using my presets, a lot of the pink registers as orange (no idea why, but this is common in Lightroom. Green can also sometimes register as red. It’s annoying, but hey.) Therefore, when I want to adjust the pink of the background in Lightroom, my skin also adjusts and I end up blending into the wall, which isn’t a good look. To get around this, I used the adjustment brush. I’ll adjust the pink background to my liking, which often involves making it appear more pink by adjusting the tint. Once I’m happy with the background colour, I’ll then go in with the adjustment brush and paint over my skin. To counteract the pinkness, you’ll want to adjust the tint to make it green. Sometimes, The tint ends up being as green as it can get in order for my skin to look natural, rather than extremely sunburnt. It’s a bit of a fiddly process, but it works!

Not only is buying vintage a more sustainable option, but it can also often be cheaper and you can find some truly unique pieces! Touch of Vintage is an Etsy store that sells gorgeous vintage pieces, from decor to glassware. The business is also black-owned. I definitely have my eye on a few pieces.
