Sustainable Fashion Brands that I’m Loving at the Moment

COVID-19 has changed the way I shop, it’s made me want to invest my money more into sustainable fashion brands. I decided that I wanted to support small businesses when I saw how many were going to have to close because of the coronavirus. It was really upsetting to see. So I decided that I was going to make a more conscious effort to shop second hand or from sustainable businesses. So for the past few weeks I’ve been researching online to find some brands that I really love, and here are just a few!

By Megan Crosby

The colour queen. Wow, I just absolutely love all of her pieces. What I can sometimes find with a lot of sustainable fashion brands is that they focus on making their clothes neutral, so the pieces will go great inside a capsule wardrobe. But that just isn’t my thing! I love unusual things! All of her pieces are designed by her and made from organic, deadstock, sustainable fabrics. It’s just her and a small team of freelance seamstresses and her Instagram is so lovely to follow. I’ve ordered a Cari Jumpsuit and I can’t wait to wear it. Truly one of the most bright, bold, and unique fashion brands I’ve ever seen! Visit the site

Omi Na Na

I think about Omni Na Na’s dresses A LOT. My Favourites are the Autumn Blossom dress and the Merrilyn Dress. Omi Na Na’s dresses have such a dreamy feel to them, that sometimes isn’t seen in sustainable fashion brands. They also have their own upcycling scheme and only work with ethical brands and suppliers. Visit the site

The Kemist

A black-owned sustainable fashion brand to support. I’ve fallen in love with absolutely everything on the website. From dresses, to co-ords, to suits, to jumpsuits… Everything I love in a piece of clothing is on The Kemist. Without a doubt, one of my favourite sustainable fashion brands out there! Visit the site

Studio Eris Jewelry

I couldn’t have a list of sustainable fashion brands without including some accessories, could I? These are the most amazing statement earrings I ever did see! The jewelry is inspired by travel, modernism, and myths and every piece is handmade in London. Visit the site

Lucy and Yak

Lucy and Yak have been one of my favourite sustainable fashion brands for such a long time. By now, their dungarees are so iconic that I can spot them for a mile off. They often work with designers to create the most gorgeous and fun limited edition pieces. But they have expanded beyond just dungarees and make t-shirts, bags, and even jeans! Visit the site

Self Care Company

Who doesn’t love a sustainable fashion brand that also sells candles? Self Care Company are primarily known and loved for their candles (which smell amazing!) They also create Be Kind T shirts which I absolutely love, and they even now sell eco-cups! All of their t shirts are made with organic cotton and their candles are made by hand. Visit the site

Based in London, this sustainable fashion brand describes its pieces as ‘wearable art’. They sell vintage and recycled items, and all of their pieces are hand printed and painted. All of their packaging is plastic-free and recyclable. Their hand-printed shirts are a personal favourite of mine.  Visit the site
